The man was attempting to cross Main Street heading west near Court Street around 3:49 p.m. when he was struck by a 2016 GMC Sierra driven by a 49-year-old man from Savannah, Georgia, Hackensack Police Deputy Chief Gregory Zisa said.
The pedestrian remained in stable condition as of Wednesday morning, Oct. 28, Zisa said. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, Zisa said.
No summonses had been issued, and the crash remained under investigation, Zisa said.
